Do you have the rubric up for how you’re grading the final paper anywhere? And could you email me the paper that has the final questions on it. I spilled coffee on it earlier, I’m an idiot.

I’ll post these in their appropriate thread:
-The final is due Dec. 16 at 1:30, right?
-I’m having trouble explaining Gehlen’s use of the word “resonance”… anyone?

A posted rubric would be fantastic. The one I made during class turned out to be very broad.

Hey, Dan? Could you just, you know, uh, right my paper for me?
Thanks.

I think I deserve a letter grade reduction for using “right” rather than “write.”
Thanks.

Is there something you’re trying to imply, Luke?

I’m having some trouble with the second question. I can talk about the objects and how they tie into the philosopher’s ideas. But I’m not sure of how much of their “general” ideas I’m supposed to discuss. Should I just talk about the part of their writing that ties into the objects I chose to discuss, or do I need to give a basic summery of all their ideas?

You just need enough to make sense of the particular object you are discussing

I’m not going to lose points if my paper is just a hair over 10 pages, right?

There will be a 1% deduction per word on the 11th page.

Totally. So Dan, small question. What is phenomenology exactly, since you never went over the specifics of it in class and the definition is nowhere I can find it. Also, is all that mind-body interactionism just crackhead Larry seeing a tree and then thinking of a tree or something more than that? *wonders if you’ll check the site before 1:30.

I told them to leave the door propped open (it was locked) so you guys shouldn’t have any trouble turning in your papers.
